A few months have passed since we made our resolutions to exercise more, eat less, and end our addiction to The Cup with the Little Green Straw. Travel, dinner parties, and Polar Vortexes can all present challenges, even to those with the best intentions to lead a healthy lifestyle. Truth: no matter how long the winter, spring is sure to follow. Now is the time to spring clean the clutter from your health and fitness routines.
Though we can't go back and make a brand new start, we can start now and make a brand new ending.
A goal without a plan is just a wish. Let's reevaluate... what derailed your goal of optimal wellness? Is your clutter the end result of procrastination? A family member sabotaging your eating plan? Poor time management skills preventing you from getting to the gym? Once you have identified the villain(s), it's time to rework your action plan. If you find yourself too tired at the end of the day to exercise, try exercising in the morning... before your brain figures out what your doing! I challenge you to 100 crunches, 100 push-ups, and 100 squats, every day for 30 days! Instead of dinner and a movie date night, sign you and yours up for tennis lessons or get real crazy and take a spin class together.
Staying committed to your health and fitness goals takes willpower and determination. If it was easy, everyone would be fit. Reaching a goal is like growing out your bangs: it gets ugly and sometimes you want to give up, but in the end it will all be worth it.
I am DRIVEN to be fit... are you?
